This is a pretty amazing tv pilot from 1954 Starring Arthur Lake and his real family, Sort of a take off of Ozzie and Harriet. As far as i can tell this is the one and only episode and the show was never picked up. This is also the oldest show i have ever been able to find that revolves around Surfing. Arthur owns a Sporting Goods store and orders a bunch of Surf Balls (Beach Balls) but ends up getting a bunch of Surf Boards, the truck dropping them off says Velzy and Son. Now Arther has to figure out how to sell them. Also Notice this is the oldest reference to surfing in the snow (snowboarding) Arthur says in the winter we can call them SNO-FBOARDS, This just shows that people were thinking of connecting Surfing and Snow together a lot earlier than the Snurfer. They go to the beach for a demo and Surfer Pete Peterson who is called by name is there. Wait till you see what they actually do with the surfboards to sell them, Something we all thought was a pretty recent idea.
